Queer Festivals This Season
As we move forward from mid-March 2025, several events are set to celebrate and uplift the diverse voices within the LGBTQ+ community, with a particular emphasis on Black, Latino, Asian, and other minority groups. Here are some notable upcoming events:
1. Atlanta Bear Pride (April 25-27, 2025)
Atlanta Bear Pride is an annual three-day series of bear-themed events and parties that celebrate bear culture while also supporting and raising funds for local businesses and charities in metro Atlanta. The impressive lineup manages to lure out bears, cubs, otters, and their admirers from all over the USA and recently has grown to attract international attendees for a huge weekend of fun events.
2. Human Rights Campaign Dinner (May 3, 2025)
Raising well over a quarter-million dollars a year for the Human Rights Campaign, the Atlanta HRC dinner is a standard-bearer throughout the nation. The annual black-tie affair features the leading activists and entertainers advancing LGBTQ rights and honors local LGBTQ leaders and allies for their work to make Georgia more accepting.
3. Atlanta Black Pride Weekend (Labor Day Weekend, 2025)

4. Atlanta Pride Festival & Parade (October 11-12, 2025)
We’re thrilled to announce the 2025 Atlanta Pride Festival will take place in Piedmont Park on October 11-12, 2025! Join us for an unforgettable weekend of celebration, community, and pride. With exciting entertainment, the vibrant Pride Parade, and dozens of activities and vendors, there’s something for everyone.
5. Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade (August 16-17, 2025)
The 2025 Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade is Saturday, Aug. 16 – Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025. Charlotte Pride Week, which includes a variety of celebratory Pride events all around the city, hosted by local businesses and organizations, runs Friday, Aug. 8 – Friday, Aug. 15.
6. Catawba Valley Pride – Trans Pride 2025 (March 29, 2025)
This is an all-ages friendly event featuring a vendor fair, drag entertainment, and more, celebrating the transgender community in Newton, North Carolina.
These events provide valuable opportunities for members of the LGBTQ+ community, especially those from Black, Latino, Asian, and other minority backgrounds, to come together, celebrate their identities, and foster a sense of belonging. Attending or supporting these events not only strengthens community bonds but also promotes visibility and acceptance across diverse cultures.
